Events and the effect of Lockdown

During lockdown, Villa Gaiety Government staff were deployed to other Government departments including the Community Support and information line, Noble’s Hospital, IOM Post Office and the airport vaccination centre.

Going forward, Emma Callin, Head of VillaGaiety and the Arts said, “Two of the biggest community shows in our calendar, The Christine Wild Theatre School’s ‘Wizard of Oz’ and the Douglas Choral Union’s ‘Shrek’ are being rescheduled which we know is important, not just for ticket holders, but for the many local people involved in those productions.”

Given that the Island’s borders remain closed at present, coupled with the on-going Covid-19 situation in the UK, many events are still to be rescheduled. News will be shared on each event and show as soon as it is available.

For the latest information regarding rescheduled shows, Dragon’s Castle, the Broadway Cinema and the Box Office please visit: villagaiety.com/FAQs or their Facebook page.

Private party and event bookings:

The Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre will be available for event bookings. However, please note that priority will be given to previous bookings which were cancelled due to the lockdown.

The box office team have attempted to contact all those who had parties booked between 7th Jan – 4th Feb which had to be cancelled. All affected customers have or will be offered a refund or a rescheduled date.

If you would like to contact Dragon’s Castle regarding a party booking, please call 600555 or message their Facebook page.
