Manx Mountain Marathon-Ultra

The Ultra for those expecting to take over 8 hours starts at 6.30am, from St Paul’s Church, Ramsey. The full marathon is 50.5kms starting from St Paul’s Church, at 8am and the half marathon of 22kms starts on the Patrick Road at 1pm.

The route was devised by Celtic scholar George Broderick in 1966. The initial challenge was to complete the distance in under 10 hours, and in 1968 Tony Paine of East Grinstead made it to Port Erin youth hostel nine hours and fifty minutes after setting out from Ramsey.

Full Marathon 50.5km with 2600m ascent

Half Marathon 22km with 800m ascent
