The first missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints arrived to Britain in 1837. The earliest missions were in England, in Lancashire, and Liverpool, areas with close contact with the Isle of Man. The first missionary to the Isle of Man was John Taylor who was the third president of the Church from 1880 to 1887.
The congregation reflects the multi-culturalism of the Island with members who come from England, Ireland, Hungary, Poland, Nigeria, Australia, and America as well as the Isle of Man.
