Isle of Man Shooting Club

Sinclair Range, Curragh Road, St. John's , IM9 4AP

Formed in 1992 to support the skills of shooting smallbore and ISSF 50 meter shooting. Their Sinclair Range has 32 shooting lanes and is wheelchair accessible.

In 1966 the Isle of Man sent its first shooting team to the Commonwealth Games. In 1978 Stewart Watterson won the first medal, Bronze, this was followed by Peter Quirk’s Gold in 1981, Nigel Kelly Gold 1986, a matched world record in 1994, a double Gold in 1995, a new world record and Bronze in 1997 by Harry Creevy, a further Silver in 1998 by Dave Moore and a Bronze in 2006 for the Men’s Trap Pairs. This was the same year Mark Cavendish won Gold in the Men’s Scratch Race.
