The Nautical Museum

Bridge Street, Castletown, IM9 1AX

The museum is dedicated to George Quayle, man of mystery and his most significant surviving creation, ‘Peggy’, the earliest known example of a British Schooner. Excavations reveal the history of the maritime industry in Castletown and the life of a truly extraordinary man who designed his own cabin room and private dock.

Special events for children during the summer.
