Port Erin Marine Laboratory
Breakwater Road, Port Erin, IM9 6JA
The site first opened in 1902 for research, biological work, and the preservation of the fishing industry and marine life surrounding the Isle of Man. It became part of the University of Liverpool’s, School of Biological Sciences, before being closed on 30 September 2006. Redevelopment plans have been in place since 2018.
