Steam Railway-IOM

Railway Station, Banks Circus, Douglas, IM1 5PT

The Southern line is the only line still operational. It opened in 1874 and is the longest narrow gauge Steam line in Britain. The line runs from Douglas to Port Erin via Castletown. The locomotives of the Isle of Man Railway were provided exclusively by Beyer, Peacock and Company of Manchester, England between 1873 and 1926 and are still used today. At Port Erin there is a train Museum.

There are various Events organised throughout the year such as Dining Car Events, Murder Mystery Dinners, Spooky Trains, Santa Trains and Island at War Events.
