Ballachurry Nature Reserve

First opened in 2007 and run by the Manx Wildlife Trust since 2016. The reserve has a hide for birdwatching and a trail that links its two ponds. Ballachurryreports.blogspot.com has regular updates and shows the wildlife found in the area. Dogs are not allowed. Open all day.

Ballaugh Glen

Ballaterson Fields, Ballaugh, IM7 5AN

Sitka spruce and Japanese larch make up the majority of the trees in this Glen which can be steep in places.There are also two large ponds at the base of the Glen which attract wildlife.

Tynwald National Park and Arboretum-St Johns

The Park and Arboretum is 25 acres of gardens and trees together with a picnic area, playground and pond which was opened in 1979 to celebrate the Millennium of Tynwald. The garden was designed to reflect the 17 Parishes of the Island with specific planting for each area noted by signage.
