Train Story Winners

Earlier this year we ran a children’s competition to write a story and design a train. It was lockdown and we wanted to encourage people to use their imaginations, to travel on a virtual journey, even when they could not go outside. The result was loads of fabulous stories, drawings and creativity.

The winners met at the railway station in July, just when the trains were starting to run again.

Christopher Vine, the children’s author was the final judge of the writing competition. Here he is, reading the first prize winners, next to his own train, which is the star of the Peter’s Railway books.
