MMRC Classic Sprint and Hillclimb

Since 1904, when the first Gordon Bennett Races were held here, the Island has offered motor racing enthusiasts a perfect mix of racing heritage, challenging roads and picturesque scenery.

Founded in 1987, the Manx Motor Racing Club organises closed-roads events for vintage, classic and modern sports cars. The most famous courses include the Willaston Pursuit Sprint, The Governor’s Sprint and the Lhergy Frissell Hillclimb which is the longest hillclimb in the British Isles. It incorporates part of the original Gordon Bennett Eliminating Trails course of 1904 and the original TT course for cars, from 1905.

The Sloc, Creg Willey’s Hillclimb and the Lhergy Frissell Hillclimb.
