Oie Houney

Peel Promenade, Peel, IM5 1AQ

The oldest traditional festival on the Island.

This is a combination of the old Celtic New Year “Oie Houney” or Sauin/Samhain and the later Hop-tu-Naa festival or All Hallo’s Eve festival also known as Halloween.

The festival is celebrated in Peel with a torch light procession ending in Fireworks over the bay.

Other Hop-tu-Naa celebrations occur around the Island at this time as do fireworks displays marking November 5th Bonfire Night.
