South Barrule Forest

The Manx god Mannanan Mac y Leir lived at the top of South Barrule protecting the Island with his cloak of mist. During the Bronze Age it had an early settlement of eighty thatched houses with a stone rampart at its summit. The 128 hectare plantation is full of outside adventure, with trails for hiking, horses and bikes. It is home to Laser Mayhem and Ape Mann. Off road competitions often use the area. There is also a very cosy rustic café, called Coffee Cottage.
