7th Wave is an award winning training centre for maritime pursuits including navigation, safety, kayaking, sailing and powerboats. It is home to the Manx Youth Sailing Squad. Many students go on to competitive racing.

Laxey Harbour

Laxey harbour was built in the mid 1800s to support the Laxey mining industry. The harbour is small with limited berthing and no deep water berths. Small leisure craft can use the channel berths. Seasonal mooring is available in Garwick Bay during the summer months.

Manx Sailing and Cruising Club

Situated in Ramsey Bay in the North of the Island the Club provides facilities for both offshore and dinghy sailors. Crews are involved in competitive sailing including the Round the Island, MS and CC Dinghy Regatta as well as races further away such as the  West Highland Week.
